    Trauma is defined as physical injury to the body caused by violent or disruptive action. According to the National Trauma Institute (NTI), each year trauma accounts for 41 million emergency department visits and 2.3 million hospital admissions across the nation. While the increasing availability of Computed Tomography (CT) and Ultrasound (US) have have decreased the role radiography plays in the management of trauma patients, it remains an indispensable asset in Emergency Departments worldwide.
